New favorite club

After playing a few rounds with this driving iron it's quickly become my favorite club in the bag. Easy to hit, rockets off the face, and looks great. It also works well off the ground and has allowed me to go after par 5's more often. If you're on the fence, just go for it!

Couldn't have been more surprised with how this beautiful iron performs

I decided to try a driving iron (18 deg 2 iron) and couldn't have been more surprised with how this beautiful iron performs. My home course is fairly narrow off the tee, with this club I can routinely find the fairway while keeping up with the drivers in my group. I paired my 2 iron with a PJX LS stiff shaft and couldn't be happier with how it performs. I took one star off because it looks a little thicc over the ball.

First time using a driving iron

First time using a driving iron. Struggled with it the first few times out but it’s getting better each time I use it. Great looking iron, feels fantastic striking the ball with zero effort and unbelievable distance.
Thanks Haywood for superior products and customer service!

DI.2 - First Utility Iron

This was my first club from Haywood and first club in this category as I wasn't settled with my hybrid yet. I wanted an option of a long iron instead mostly as a tee club. This is a great club and it misses on the correct side fkr me as well. Well struck shots will fly! I got the 3 iron. Would certainly consider getting the 2 as well.

Great feel and weight to the club. Nice clean look. I will look to buy from this company again!

It's a rocket!

I got the di.2 driving iron as a Christmas gift. I have the 2 iron weakened 1° (19°). This thing is a rocket. Good strikes consistently carry 250 and run out close to 280. I've hit a couple pretty far off the toe and it still gets out to 260. Absolutely amazing feel when you hit it pure. I had demoed a taylormade udi, callaway UT, and the titleist t250u and the haywood was the best in feel and performance for me. If you're not sure if you should buy a DTC, just do it you won't be disappointed. You're not being cheap, you're paying less for a superior product. Great job Haywood!

As expected.

What an amazing club. Looks good as feels even better. This club replaced my 3 hybrid giving me more workability from far out.

Forgiving Distance

I've tried other utility irons and found them difficult to consistently strike. However, defaulting back to hybrids resulted in tee shots that would tend to bloom. I picked up the DI.2 as a 2 iron and have yet to bloom a tee shot. Don't get me wrong, you have to be a confident ball striker to make it work, but the free customizations help take out some variability and inspire confidence.

Haywood Irons

I started with a full set of new irons from 5 to PW and a new 56 degree wedge. Have played 20 rounds with them and am enjoying them now that I have a feel for them. I find I hit them the same distance but have better control and hit them straighter than my Taylor Made M4's. Just purchased a new #2 driving iron and replaced nt five wood. Great for straight tee shots on tight holes and those 200 to 220 yeard par threes.

Must have Driving Iron

If you want a club that myopic can use of the tee for tight Fairways this is it. It's long and forgiving. I don't lose a ton of yardage hitting out off the toe. You can play a stinger to keep it out of the wind. Best of all, I wanted to match it with my Pd1 set, Haywood speed it up with the exact shaft even though it wasn't offered on site. Buy it, you won't regret it.

Like an Arrow

Took me 5 swings on the range to get this thing dialed in. First time hitting it in a round and I got told that it was like an arrow, dead straight with a nice piercing trajectory. I absolutely love this thing!

Left me speechless

Hit my friends 2 iron all round. Fell in love with the feel so I had to buy my own. Purchased a set of sv.2 irons with it. Can’t wait to hit these sticks on the course 🔥

Love it!

Love my driving iron, while I'm no great golfer, I enjoy the straight distance I get from this club. Definitely will be buying other clubs in the future!

Great Club!

Been a Haywood user of irons for a few seasons now and can’t say enough great things. The new 2 iron is no different. Sleek, long, and accurate. This is my fairway finder for those days when driver isn’t cooperating. Been very impressed with how Josh continues to innovate with tremendous products that compete if not exceed the big boys!

Favorite club?

Hitting 2 iron off the tee is just more fun, especially for those of us who remember how impossible they were back in the day. Rarely use the driver anymore. Built to my spec’s it gives me confidence… and matches my irons. Haywood Wedges next.

Absolute Rocket Launcher

When my gamer 2i broke, I wanted to give Haywood a shot and was not disappointed one bit. The customer service team was very responsive to our 20+ email long chat trying to dial in all the specs and the final product came out fantastic. The Haywood team accommodated my request for a UST Mamiya Recoil Smacwrap shaft plus some extra tip trimming and the club feels exactly how I need and want it to feel. It just feels so easy to time and it's very forgiving across the face; I hit a couple balls literally almost off the toe and I only lost 10 yds. I'd definitely say almost handicap or swing speed could play this 2i. 100% would buy again and reccomend to anyone in the driving iron market. Easily my favourite club in the bag and I've had it for half a week.

Great club

Cannot recommend this enough if you’re a high swing speed player got mine with the hazdus 6.5 with standard loft and lie and it comes out with a great neutral flight which I can left or right and up and down. Have found it Does not love being hit out of the toe but thin strikes see way mor forgiveness. Great club Haywood!

We bought this utility iron from haywood. It's a great club. I use it so much. Really like that you can customize the length and grip.

Very good, a bit head heavy though

Haywood builds great products. The driving iron I purchased is a rocket. The swing weight is really heavy though. Maybe because I built it a half inch long, but other clubs that I have that are longer don’t feel this heavy. Still highly recommend this company

Driving iron

IMO, I would say that my driving iron is the best option for tight par 4’s where a 5 wood would be the option. The ball flight is not as affected by the wind and the distance is similar through the air. I would recommend this club to anyone. My friends take it out of my bag to hit it on certain holes…that proves to me that it is a great club.

Shawn Rowan (North Vancouver, CA)
Wonderful driving iron

What a great club. Perfect par 4 club

I crush this monster

I can't hit a three wood well so I got the guys at Haywood to crank this down to 17 degrees, add an extra 1.5" and put an X-stiff shaft in it. I mash this son of a bitch. I've had people ask me what I hit because "it looked like an iron but it went like 270". Then I flex the biceps and tell them it's a driving iron. Great club. Hot face but pretty forgiving on mis-hits. I hit it off the tee on most par 4s and sometimes into par 5s off the fairway. Get this club, swing hard, and knock it by your friends' weak drives.

Rocket

This thing is a beauty. If you struggle with your driver or need a consistent club, this is it. The ball pops off the club so well, and it just goes straight.

I got this club because I have absolutely zero consistency with my driver, lose balls like crazy with it. I have about 100-103mph club speed with my driver and I hit it about 260-270 on a good drive (which is about 1 in 8). I hit the Haywood driving iron consistently 240 and it hits the fairway almost every time. This club has saved me so many strokes. I still pull out the driver on long par 4s and 5s. But the driving iron might be my new favourite club in my bag.
