If you're on the fence, do it. No regrets, which is a blessing as we all know golf is expensive enough. VERY forgiving. Extremely consistent. Having them built to my specs for cheaper then a standard off the shelf set is a no-brainer to me. Keep in mind, no set of clubs will fix a broke swing, but these will certainly make this great game easier.

Had my signature V2 irons for around a month now and I love them. Quality components and feel. Ball flight is great the sound off the face is amazing. Really cannot recommend these enough if you are on the fence I can tell you now you wont regret buying them.
I received my SV2 5-P iron set recently and I have used them about 4-5 times and every round it gets better and better! Premium packaging, premium craftsmanship. I love how Haywood gives you a lot of customization from the shaft, loft & lie, ferrules, grip, etc. Great pricing with premium materials! My fellow golfers in our area have not heard of Haywood, I love it because it gives me a chance to share them how great of a golf company they are!
I received my custom set of the SV2's today, having ordered 5-P in the following specs:
- True Temper Dynamic Gold 105 S300 Stiff Flex
- Loft 1Ā° weak
- Golf Pride MCC+4 Midsize grips
I had previously been fitted for Taylormade P790's and ordered the same specs I was fitted for on those clubs.
As a mid-handicapper I was playing irons from a Ben Hogan box set and immediately had to take the SV2's out on the course. And boy oh boy are these special irons. Nothing about them reminds of a classic Game Improvement iron - while the clubhead is definitely confidence inspiring behind the ball, it is not clunky at all. They look sleek and feel much more like a player's distance iron with a larger head. They are a thing of beauty!
Performance wise they felt great. They for sure are hot off the face, adding about 15 yards of distance to each of my irons and offer lots of forgiveness.
The short irons offer as much workability as you can expect from GI irons and have a solid amount of spin and stoppage power. Mishits - especially off the toe - lose hardly any distance and stay on line nicely. Turf interaction is solid, allowing better compression and turf interaction than other game improvement irons from big OEM's I had tested before.
If I had to critique a single thing it would be the Fog finish. After just 18 holes the clubs already had a few scuff marks from just one round's worth of bag chatter.
All in all really impressed with the set and super happy with my first Haywood purchase. I'm already eyeing up the Driving Iron!
