Got these delivered about a month ago and love them. Played a few rounds and they feel amazing. The KBS TGI shafts are so light. Played a scramble and had my first ever whole out eagle on a par 4 with the PW from about 112 yards. I am having more solid center contact with these clubs than I have ever had with my old clubs. I had some Callaway Steelheads from 2004 or so and these are so much better for me.

The sound from these when you make good contact is so pleasing. The clubs look amazing. The distance is mostly consistent so far. Seems like anything off the tie still goes 95% of what I was expecting.

Support staff was excellent in helping me choose a shaft. Clubs were delivered almost exactly 25 days from my order date.

Honestly was intrigued by the design and customization… have come off two sets of P790 and absolutely love my Haywood’s…. Visually similar so was easy to adjust

Having recently undergone a professional club fitting, I already had a good idea of the specifications that would suit my game. As a result, I found Haywood’s online fitting service to be surprisingly accurate in its recommendations.

My one reservation during the ordering process was choosing the correct club head. The photographs on the website show the club heads in isolation, making it difficult to judge their actual size at address. I have suggested to Haywood that including photos with a golf ball positioned in front of the club would provide a much better sense of scale. Had that option been available, I would likely have chosen the combo set rather than the full PD.1 set.

My clubs were built by Martin Shaw in Northern Ireland, and the service I received from him was exceptional. I needed to discuss delivery timings as I was due to be away when the clubs were ready, and Martin was superb throughout the process, keeping me informed and ensuring everything ran smoothly.

The appearance of the clubs is outstanding. I’ve received numerous positive comments from fellow golfers who have seen them, and they certainly look every bit as good in person as they do online.

In terms of performance, the heads are slightly more compact than I had anticipated. As a result, they do reward a clean strike, but when struck well they perform superbly. I wouldn’t describe them as particularly long—I previously played Ping i530s, and the PD.1s are not as explosive in terms of raw distance. What they do offer, however, is exceptional consistency. I haven’t experienced a single “flyer”, something that can occasionally occur with hollow-bodied distance irons.

Would I buy them again? Absolutely. The only change I would make would be to opt for the combo set rather than the full PD.1 set.

Overall, when you consider the quality of the club components, the customer service, the custom build process and the price point, I genuinely don’t understand why more golfers aren’t considering Haywood. I absolutely love them.

Only played a couple of times with these so far but man they feel incredible. Perfectly balanced, great feel and feedback. I use to play a lot more when I was a kid so I’ve been playing some old gear and have tested a bunch of new stuff while researching which clubs to upgrade to but I can safely say these have been nothing but perfect. Got the wedges in raw too, and they arrived with a rust patina on them which gives them such a wonderful character and offers extra grip for spin - Makes my clubs unique to me and like they were made specifically for me, can’t get enough of them. If you’re looking for the best value, and a made in Canada product, look no further. I have now become a full fledged Haywood fan boy. I’m telling everyone about these.

I’ve had the pleasure of using the PD1’s for the past month, and have been blown away with the results. Each shot I have taken has a very smooth feel accompanied by great feedback on your miss hits. When miss hits occur, they are very forgiving and will still typically have a straight trajectory, falling just shy of your target distance. Last but not least, they are the cleanest looking iron I have ever seen, beautifully crafted and excellent to game!

Got fitted for my PD.1s last July and can’t say enough good things about them. The looks, the feel, the performance of them… everything is top notch! Awesome experience and recommended Haywood to all of my friends. Definitely want to add more Haywood products to the bag soon!

For those local to Vancouver, I would highly recommend getting fitted by Josh and his team - support our homegrown team with pride.

My fitting experience was great, got to hit the SV2 and the PD1 in a variety of shafts. Josh was super knowledgeable and there was no pressure at the end of my fitting. I had previously been fitted for Mizuno Hot Metal Pros and TM P790s, and I felt that both the SV2 and PD1 felt just as good - just a touch softer.

I ended up pulling the trigger the PD1s spec'd to me not long after (lengthened, lofted up, flattened).

I was able to hit the range with them a bunch during the winter offseason and play a nice round with them recently. The PD1s are still plenty forgiving! You can definitely get proper feedback on off-center hits, but they still perform good enough as playable shots.

I am a ~20hcp, and feel like I will be trending down with how confident I feel with approaching the green with these clubs.

I had been playing with the original Signature irons for the last 4 years and couldn’t have been more impressed. But, when I saw the new irons, I couldn’t resist so I purchase the PD.1 in 6-AW.

First, Josh and crew were amazing to work with on the customizing of their clubs to my requirements. The number of options is uncommon and greatly appreciated. The AeroTech i95’s are a perfect fit for me.

Getting the Approach Wedge in the PD.1 version instead of the Signature was an excellent suggestion. The dispersion with the new 50° Approach Wedge has improved significantly. Even the Launch Monitor was impressed…😆

The feel is nice; soft yet reactive. The sound is a bit different from the Signatures; more soothing. Already I have increased my carry yardage with the 6 Iron by 11.2 yds. I am currently using the Snell 3.0 golf ball.

I took the step up from game improvement to players distance and the PD.1's have been an easy transition. I've been taking golf more seriously in the last year or two and these clubs have been a great step up. These irons perform great along with the affordability. Love this from a Canadian company.

The PD.1s are among the best looking clubs on the market. Add to that the customization, soft feel, and outstanding performance, these are hard to beat if you are considering new irons.

done a lot of research before buying the pd.1 irons and honestly i had high expectations but man did i ever imagine they would be as good as they are. i went with a stiff shaft project x 6.0 shaft and man these things feel so smooth and balanced to perfection. probably the smoothest irons i’ve ever hit and talk about a great forgiveness without losing power. these things are truly great and you will not regret spending the money. They got here on the time they said they would be and threw in a towel and hat for free. VERY GREAT BRAND and 100% will continue buying from them!

I absolutely love these irons. They feel amazing, my game has improved as a result of having them. The company was great to work with—I had issues with UPS and also emailed about an updated customization which they incorporated. All around very happy.

Haywood PD.1s have been amazing, Forgiving on the mishits, consistent ball striking, and the feel is better than I expected at this price point.

Had my PD1s for about a month now and havent been disappointed. Great value, look great in the bag and the performance to match. I struggled with consistency of distance with other direct to consumer branded irons but these seem right on the money.

The irons and wedges are absolutely state of the art. Buttery impact feeling, high and precise ball flight etc. with lots of customization options.

In hindsight I would have appreciated some more specs e.g. weight of club heads, which I hence neglected. Nevertheless, no regrets nor bad feelings.

From the configuration process, to the shipping and handling, and most importantly the feel on the course. It was smooth, easy and stress free. Cant recommend enough!

Exactly what I was looking for. If you want max forgiveness these may not be best but if you are a sold striker and taking a step back from blades, these will not disappoint. Fair amount of forgiveness with the tech they have on the inside but retains the ability to flight, shot shape, etc. Looking to replace the wedges next.

If you hate distance and workability in a set of irons, these are not for you.
If you prefer to overpay for a badge and some marketing fluff, keep scrolling.
They look clean, feel buttery, and launch better than any iron I’ve tested.
Final verdict: 10/10, would recommend—unless you're into pain and mediocrity.
